Biography

My name is Masauso Moses Phiri, though I prefer to be called Mas.
I am a Christian, a husband to Buya Ennie, and a father. I worship and serve as an elder at Lusaka Baptist Church in Lusaka, Zambia. My faith in Christ is central to how I understand life, work, responsibility, and success.
I have always loved writing. From my teenage years, I filled old diaries with handwritten stories and short novels. Even then, I carried a quiet ambition—to one day publish work that would be read widely and prove useful to others. Writing has remained a constant thread in my life: a way of thinking clearly, reflecting deeply, and communicating meaningfully.
Professionally, I am trained as a scientist. I hold a PhD, Master’s, and Honours degree in Biochemistry from North-West University, Potchefstroom, South Africa. Prior to that, I completed an MSc in Chemical Pathology and a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Zambia, School of Medicine.
I currently serve as a Lecturer at the University of Zambia, School of Medicine, where I teach Chemical Pathology to medical students.
Through Mas’ Insights, I bring together these strands—faith, disciplined thinking, lived experience, and a love for writing—to offer biblically grounded, common-sense reflections for everyday life and the marketplace.
